In Loving Memory of Leonard Donald Nordine
On September 1, 2025, Leonard Donald Nordine passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at McKenney Creek Hospice in Maple Ridge, BC.
Family and Loved Ones: Len was predeceased by his father, Stewart Nordine, and his sister, Star Nordine. He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Bea; his brothers, Ed (with his wife Susan) and Wayne (with his wife Janet); his sister, Heather; as well as his nieces, nephews, and the many friends whom he considered part of his extended family.
Early Life and Journey: Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Len moved west at the age of 24 to Vancouver, British Columbia. He settled in the lower mainland, where he established a rich and fulfilling life. Len embraced every moment, filling his days with laughter, adventures, travel, and countless memorable experiences that shaped his journey until his passing.
Legacy and Impact: Throughout his life, Len endeared himself to numerous colleagues, peers, and acquaintances through his varied jobs and passionate pursuits. His immense capacity for love, friendship, and extraordinary camaraderie meant that many of those he met became like family to him, his "other brothers and sisters."
Farewell: We say a fond, bittersweet, and loving goodbye to our cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend. We are certain that Len is already enjoying a wonderful celebration in the afterlife. Rest in peace, big guy!
Celebration of Life on September 21, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. Location: Grand Beach Lagoon, by the tennis courts. Reception to be held at 74 Pine Hurst Ave, Grande Marais, MB.
