It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Julie Lyons at the Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg on June 7, 2025. Julie left us peacefully at the age of 66 following a lengthy illness.

Julie was predeceased by her parents, Angelo and Yolanda Mingotti of Winnipeg. Julie will be sadly missed by all of her loving family and friends.

Julie is survived by her husband Bruce, her three children: Michael (Lisa), Alana (Rob), Ashley (Kristian), and three grandchildren: Brody, Everly and Nyla. She is also survived by her two brothers, Richard (Sophita) and Paul (Robin), her aunt Muffy and her many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Julie graduated from Grant Park High School in 1977. She then pursued a career in nursing, graduating as a Registered Nurse from the Health Sciences Centre School of Nursing. She worked at the Health Sciences Centre for most of her nursing career in the operating room at the Woman’s Centre. Her passion was always in helping people in any way possible both at work and at home.

After retirement, Julie was an integral part of the development and operation of a newly formed family business called, Time Lapse Escape Rooms. Along with her husband and three children, they turned their passion for escape rooms into one of Winnipeg’s most popular escape room centres. She continued her work there for as long as she possibly could. It was truly her passion.

Julie’s wonderful life will be celebrated at Assiniboine Park, in the Assiniboine Park Pavillion Room on Thursday, October 2, 2025. This will be a drop in event from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Come join the Celebration.
