ROY WILSON BORTON

February 23, 1943 - October 1, 2025

Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Friend.

Well My Love,

We knew this day would come but I just didn't think it would be now.

We've had quite the journey these last 51 years.

We laughed, we loved (we will always have Paris), we fought and we cried.

You always said that real relationships changed and grew. There are lovers and lovies and that it could and would change at times and it did. Together we learned to compromise and forgive, to apologize and mean it. The passion was easy, life not always so.

When we could have walked away, we chose to stay and fight, and look where it got us.

You believed our greatest accomplishments were our children and you were so proud of each and every one of them to the point of sometimes bragging too much. Grandkids, Great-Grandkids, they meant the world to you.

I'll take care of our Grinch Christmas book program, so you needn't worry. We've got it covered.

I know Pitou is eager for her walk, so don't keep her waiting. Say Hi to Mom and Dad for me.

I'll see you soon.

Love you Baskets Forever!

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Sorry to hear of our cousin’s passing . He certainly was loved by his family and friends…and he will be missed. I was touched to learn of his love of books and the Grinch Christmas Book Program . Our condolences to all. Jack, Sherrill and Janice (Children of Evelyn Borton) - Posted by: Janice Slater (Cousin) on: Oct 20, 2025

  • Sincerest condolences to the Borton family. I first met Roy in the early 80’s. I would skip school just to visit with him and Debbie at Wheels West. We would drive out to the MX races in the black cube van and sell motocross supplies. Lotsa fond memories. Roy also got me hooked on Maico motorcycles. I know he loved his classic cars, seen him on a few occasions at local car shows. Roy, you will be missed by all who knew you. - Posted by: Ron Gerth (Family Friend) on: Oct 16, 2025

  • My deepest sympathies to the entire Borton crew. I first met Roy at an Mx race in Whitemouth, MB way back in 1979 and became pretty good friends with his oldest son Duane, Roy and Debbie were always fixtures within the local Mx scene and a huge supporter of the same community he will be missed by so many ! Once again my sincerest condolences to the entire family. - Posted by: Bob Leigh (Family friend) on: Oct 12, 2025

  • Debra, Borton family, my heart is heavy over the passing of our good friend and loyal buddy. A man I have known for over 40 years. This old dog had words of wisdom along with advice about life that you could live by. Roy’s life experiences were inspirational and very cool when you are a 20 year young man, especially when it was associated with motorcycle, bluegrass music and classic cars . Roy’s circle of friends had one common opinion on his character. Compassionate and family always comes FIRST. The Sunday night ice cream gang sends our love and prayers to the Borton family. Will miss his sincerity and warm greetings at every car event. Roy, I will miss you big time buddy. Gypsum Jim. - Posted by: JAMES Arthur NAYLOR (Loyal friend) on: Oct 11, 2025
