Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN CHARLES GREENHILL
The family are heartbroken to announce the unexpected passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather John Greenhill, after a short illness.
John grew up in London, England where he enjoyed cycling around looking for the best fishing spots. His work took him to Zambia and South Africa before he settled in Northern Manitoba. John loved hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, building furniture, constructing model airplanes, and designing wooden clocks. He also enjoyed relaxing with a cup of tea and a good book. John had a keen scientific mind and was happiest when he could help solve a problem with an innovative solution, a true engineer.
A live-streamed Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 68152, MB-212, Cooks Creek, Manitoba, with reception to follow in the church hall.
Many thanks to the staff at the hospitals in Selkirk, Winnipeg, and Pinawa for the kindness and care given to John during his illness.

John and I have not met since we left Thompson, but in the years of our daily lives, we never stopped remoniscing about separate school days at Latymer. Our school days definitely prepared us for the Wide World of Mining. David Shefford - Posted by: David & Dianne Shefford (School Friend) on: Oct 18, 2025
