Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHY MACINTOSH BLOWATT
Born Grace Kathleen MacIntosh on January 12, 1947 to Murray and Marguerite (Weatherbee) MacIntosh. Kathy attended NCHS and played on every sport team or youth group in the community.
In 1966 she completed a nursing course at Camp Hill Hospital (Halifax). Her career took her to Deer Lodge in Winnipeg. After 10 plus years Veterans Affairs asked her to work shuttling Veterans to appointments. Kathy loved this job but decided to move with Winnipeg Transit because of better benefits. Kathy found time to play sports and made many friends over the 60 years in Winnipeg. Her short, unexpected illness and passing October 6, 2025 caught us all by surprise.
She was predeceased by her husband (Ron), father, mother, stepmother (Enola) and sister (Darlene). She is survived by son (Tony), granddaughter Melanie, great-grandchildren, Madison, Makayla, and Hayley, brother Ron (Judy) Bedford, half sister Glenda (Perry} Tatamagouche and special niece and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Smitty’s Restaurant & Lounge, 1017 St. James Street from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Special Thank You’s to the staff at Riverview Health Centre, especially Milka, Branslau, Eve and Trevor.

Kathy and I have been best friends for 47 years. She was a second mother to our four girls. We both enjoyed playing women's fastball and that is how we met.47 years ago. From that day on we enjoyed each other’s company . We also enjoyed playing mixed slow pitch baseball . Kathy made friends wherever she went. Kathy and I have talked on the phone twice a day in the last month. I miss her something awful. Love you buddy forever. Rest In Peace - Posted by: Evelyn Tilston-jones (Best Friend) on: Oct 20, 2025
