It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Meliny (Mel) McGlade on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at the age of 74 years.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.

My sincere condolences to the family of Meliny. I have fond memories of her lovely person. We were nursing colleagues in the OR at Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg in the (bumpy) 1990's and then met up again at a hospital in BC some years later. My deepest condolences to the family. Mel and I first met in grade nine. We became instant friends and were inseparable having sleep overs, sharing confidences, clothes makeup, and big belly laughs, often up to no good as teenagers sometimes do. Although our lives took different paths we kept in contact for 50 years. I will miss our phone calls. She had a tender heart and a burden for others less fortunate. Rest in peace dear friend.
