With deep sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jenny Petersen at HSC in Winnipeg, MB on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
Leaving to mourn her loss are husband Kevin; sons, Cole and Dustin; sister-in-law Sharlene Lodge; nephew Brett Lodge; uncle Dennis Lofstrom and aunt Rosalie Lofstrom; many aunts, uncles and cousins and her special family dogs.
Jenny was predeceased by parents, Carol Chabluk (Rivers), Joseph Berry, stepfather Walter Chabluk, mother-in-law Marlene Petersen, father-in-law Sheldon Petersen, her grandparents and brother-in-law Robert Lodge.
Winnipeg was where Jenny spent her youth, later attending university, and where she met the love of her life, Kevin. They soon made a loving home in Pinawa, where they created beautiful memories together throughout the years.
Kildonan Park held a special place in Jenny’s heart. It was a backdrop for her joyful youth, the location of her wedding, and a source of cherished memories that she loved to share. Her stories of independence and adventure from her teenage years were always filled with laughter and nostalgia.
Jenny had a unique passion for treasure hunting, delighting in discovering the perfect objects to decorate her home or share with friends. Her Christmas tree, adorned with these special treasures and meaningful keepsakes, was a testament to her creativity and thoughtfulness.
Her spirit of kindness was reflected in her frequent calls, always checking in with a warm, “Hey, how are you doing?” Jenny’s greatest pride was undoubtedly her boys, Cole and Dustin. As a devoted mother, she offered endless love, patience, and guidance, always encouraging them to seek adventure and supporting them every step of the way. Her ability to make them feel seen and heard will forever resonate in their hearts.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at both Pinawa Hospital and HSC for the incredible care and compassion shown to Jenny during her time in their care.
Jenny, be peaceful in a field of Dandelions, your favourite flower.
As per Jenny’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
