JOHN LENAGHAN
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Lenaghan on Saturday, October 18, 2025, with his loving family by his side.
John will be remembered by his loving wife Karen; sons Matthew (Dana) and Michael (Kelsey); and grandchildren Jake, Rose, and Declan. He is also survived by his brother Don (Marvis), as well as his nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his parents, Marion and Thomas, and his sister, Donna.
Born and educated in Winnipeg, John attended Lord Roberts, Churchill High School, and Tec Voc, where he studied drafting. He enjoyed a fulfilling career of 32 years with Manitoba Hydro, beginning on the survey team in Northern Manitoba before joining the Property Department as a draftsman.
John and Karen were married on May 23, 1981, sharing over 44 years together. John cherished spending time at his favourite place, Bird Lake, with his family and dogs. He loved quading, camping, canoeing, and being outdoors.
John will be deeply missed by his family and his companion, Cooper.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.
