The world got a little quieter on October 19, 2025 when Steven Lance Lidster, 50, of Brandon, left us suddenly and far too soon.
Steven was born on December 2, 1974 in Swan River. To proud parents Dale and Judy Lidster, and big sister Pamela. In 1978 they moved to Brandon.
In 1994 Steven met the love of his life Tania Borton. They welcomed their son Wade Steven on September 21, 1996, and their daughter Daylyn Jane October 1, 2001.
In 1996 Steven started his lifelong career in the Alarm industry at Alarm All. He continued on through the years as the company changed hands, through MTS and Bell MTS.
Steven made friends easily wherever he went. And will be missed.
Steven’s spirit lives on through his wife Tania, son Wade(Onix), daughter Daylyn(Rylan), his parents Dale and Judy Lidster, his sister Pamela(Kelly Willeman), his parents in law Doug Borton(Cherie), Karen Johnston(Vern Leckie) Candice Gray(Ross). As well as his brother-in-law Rhett Borton, sister in law Fallon(Dave Stokell). Steven was a proud uncle to Jarrod Bailey, Kathryn Bailey(Suniel Peirson), Nixon and Max Stokell. And grand-puppy Bynx.
He leaves behind many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins who were friends, and friends who were like family.
A celebration of life will be held in his honour at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday November 15, 2025, in the Imperial ballroom at the Victoria Inn, Brandon, MB. In keeping with Steven’s spirit, casual attire welcome. Please bring your stories, laughter and memories to share. In Lieu of flowers please take a moment to lend someone a hand or do something kind in Steven’s memory. That’s how he lived his life and that’s how he’d want to be remembered.
