With great sadness, the family announces the passing of Donald Robert Johnston of Brandon, Manitoba, on November 17, 2025.
Born in Brandon, Don spent 48 dedicated years with the Brandon Mental Health Centre, where he worked his way to Facility Manager 4. He will be remembered for his loyalty, kindness, and strong work ethic.
Don is survived by his wife, Joanne; sons Brett and Kyle; stepdaughters Jennifer and Tiani; eight grandchildren; brother Brent; and extended family. Predeceased by parents Robert and Doreen, and nephew Bradley.
A Celebration of Don’s Life was held at the Victoria Inn on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
Donations in memory of Don may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation – Western Manitoba Cancer Centre or Palliative Care, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2B3.

With family by his side, Don Johnston, aged 66, husband to Joanne Johnston, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Monday, November 17, 2025.
A Celebration of Don’s Life will take place at the Victoria Inn - Imperial Ballroom, 3550 Victoria Avenue, Brandon on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.
