My condolences to Dr. Pereira’s family and colleagues. I was a student in his sociology class at the University of Winnipeg in the late 1960s. It’s because of him that I graduated with a major in sociology. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Dr. Dorothy Young (Former student) on: Nov 30, 2025

So sorry to hear of Dr. Pereira's passing. He was my very first sociology professor almost 40 years ago. He must have made a very good impression on me because I have spent my career teaching and publishing sociology. I recall that he went through such a terrible tragedy with the loss of his son. My deepest condolences to his family, and I hope you find comfort in knowing that his was a life so meaningfully lived. - Posted by: Karen Kampen (former student) on: Nov 22, 2025
