KATHRYN ANNE JENION

(nee TOSHACK)

It is with deep regret and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Kathryn Anne (Kathy) Jenion, 74 years of age, with her family by her side at Grace Hospital on November 21, 2025, following a brief illness.

Kathy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Robert (Bob) Jenion; daughters, Coryn Nicole Jenion, Kristy Leah McDonald (Paul); grandchildren, Alex, Daniel, Hazel and Lena McDonald; brothers, Gyl (Leslie) Toshack, Fred (Tina) Toshack and sister Lori (Jeff) Derraugh; along with many nieces and nephews. Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Meda Toshack.

Kathy’s family lived for many years in River Heights and she was a graduate of Kelvin High School in 1969. Upon graduation, she took her nurses training at the Grace Hospital where she worked her entire career. Kathy developed many long-lasting friendships with nurses and doctors who were her coworkers.

Kathy spent many happy summers at the family cabin at West Hawk lake. She also enjoyed curling in the winter as well as watching the game played by her husband Bob and daughter Kristy. Over the last number of years, Kathy and Bob were fortunate to spend time in winter in Palm Desert. Kathy’s greatest joy in life was being with her family.

Kathy’s Celebration of Life will be held at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.

The family appreciates the many calls and messages from friends and associates. Special thanks to the staff at Grace Hospital and Dr. A. Schroeder for his kindness and consideration.

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that donations be made in Kathy’s name to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.
