Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • Mrs. Pawluk was my favourite elementary school teacher. I had her for both grade 1 and 3. I wish I was able to tell her that. I remember when her son Michael came to the school for whatever reason and seemed too shy to step foot into the classroom. I’m so sorry for your loss. She was wonderful. - Posted by: Shannon Chenier Hiebert (Student) on: Jan 01, 2026

  • Lynn was my cousin through marriages. My step nana (Lil Foubister) was Lynn’s aunt. For lack of a better term, we were cousins. Lynn was a gentle loving person. She would visit our nana and grandpa at their summer camp in Keewatin. Bill and I were close friends with Lynn in our childhood and as young adults. I would like to extend my condolences to her family . Rest in peace, Lynn. - Posted by: Louise Nick (Feltham) (Cousin (sort of)) on: Dec 30, 2025

  • Dear Michael, I am so sorry you have lost your mother. I got to know her while teaching in Transcona and then much better while I was teaching you. Sincerely, Bonnie Berry - Posted by: Bonnie Berry (colleague) on: Dec 26, 2025

  • Cousin Lynn and my Mother, Margaret Clayton, were not only cousins, but close friends. When Christmas rolled around, there were lots of cousins at the table, as my parents had five children and Lynn's had the same. I vividly remember velvet dresses, itchy lace collars, the clattering of cutlery and a lot of happy voices, speaking at the same time. In later years, after I left Winnipeg, I didn't see as much of her, yet she and her siblings remained an important part of our extended family. She was a joy to be around, in part because she made our Mom happy, but also because she was a smart, vibrant person whose wit perked up every occasion. Lynn was a bridge between the adults and the kids; an important link in the chain of family. She will be missed by all who knew her. - Posted by: Laurie Clayton (Cousin) on: Dec 25, 2025

  • I'm so sorry to hear of cousin Lynn's passing. She and mom were like sisters growing up, as mom had no siblings. We all enjoyed the huge family gatherings with all the Hobdays, Jarmans and Claytons at Christmas! I am so sorry for your loss Michael. - Posted by: Karen Lamberton (Cousin) on: Dec 25, 2025

  • I am so sorry to hear of Lynn's passing. Lynn and I met when we were about 12 years old. Became friends for many years. I played the organ at their wedding. My condolences to all the family. - Posted by: Diane Turner (friend) on: Dec 20, 2025
