Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHELLEY PATRICIA RAVEN
With a lot of love and sadness, our family announces the passing of Shelley Raven (née Lawson) at the age of 64 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Krystal and Kerilee (Dan); her father, Alex; her devoted sister, Karen (Len); nephew, Matthew (Jennifer); relatives, and friends. Shelley was predeceased by her dear husband, Ron; and her mother, Patricia.
Shelley will be remembered as a funny, warm, charming, resilient, force of energy. She enjoyed reading, writing, music, exercising, cooking, camping, and spending time near any lake or beach.
Shelley felt most at peace when she spent time in nature and some of her favourite memories included spending the summers of her youth at her grandparents’ fishing camp, nightly walks with her daughters in Assiniboine Park, and her years spent living on the shore in Sandy Hook. Another lifelong passion of Shelley’s was her relationship with the loyal dogs who accompanied her throughout her life. Shelley would be happy to know that her dog Flower, now with Krystal in the countryside, enjoys lots of love and cuddles, fresh air, and a big yard.
Shelley’s faith was very important to her and she was actively involved with several churches throughout her life.
In keeping with Shelley’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Krystal and Kerrilee and family, I sending deepest condolences on the loss of your Mom. Shelley was one of my favorite students - so bright, passionate and so much fun in class and outside of class as well. Wishing you warm memories and peace, in time. - Posted by: Joanne van Dyck (Prof and friend) on: Dec 23, 2025

Shelley was part of our High School Brooklands group. Spend many nights practicing for our school musicals and late night bus rides home from St. James to Brooklands. Many fond memories. Your family has my deepest condolences. ❤️ - Posted by: Pamela Weseljak (Bohn) (High School Friend) on: Dec 21, 2025

Dear Krystal, Kerilee and Karen, heartfelt condolences on the passing of your Mom and Sister. I first met Shelley when we both worked in the OT Dept. at the Rehab Hospital. She truly was a ray of sunshine to patients and staff alike. After knowing her for a few years, as fate would have it, she met and married my cousin, Ron. They were so happy together and now they are together again spending Christmas in Heaven. The last time I spoke with Shelley she mentioned how grateful she was to her sister for accompanying her to Toronto and looking after her when she had surgery. I wish you and your families peace and love during this very difficult time. - Posted by: Linda Kachur (friend) on: Dec 21, 2025
