DOROTHY JUNE MARNOCK

June 12, 1930 - November 23, 2025

Dorothy June Marnock (nee Cross), beloved wife to the late William Ivan Marnock, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at the age of 95.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Ivan (2007), her parents Fred Cross (1971) and Hilda (1979), her brothers Gerald (1978), Donald (1984), Lloyd (1989), and Harvey (2016), and her sister Betty St. John (2006).

Dorothy grew up in Fiske, Saskatchewan, and later raised her family in Brandon, Manitoba. A nurse by profession, Dorothy dedicated her life to caring for others and was recognized with awards for her exceptional contributions to nursing. Her gentle and compassionate nature touched everyone she met, and she had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, being an integral and loving presence in their lives.

Dorothy loved every holiday and cherished bringing the family together. She especially loved the Christmas season, filling her home with the sound of carols, the joy of cooking, the laughter of friends and family, and cozy evenings spent watching Hallmark movies. Dorothy and Ivan were also devoted members of Central United Church in Brandon.

In 2003, Dorothy moved to Calgary, Alberta, where she continued to live a life of service and faith. She found joy in attending Westminster Presbyterian Church, reconnecting with friends at her nursing reunions in Manitoba, volunteering as a White Hat at the Calgary Airport and spending cherished time with her family and friends. Wherever she went, Dorothy had a gift of making everyone feel at ease and welcome. She also loved keeping in touch with family and friends, cherishing visits, calls, letters, and photos from loved ones.

Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her daughter and son, her five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and the family and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to those who cared for Dorothy. Memorial tributes may be made to STARS air ambulance, an organization to which was held close to her heart and generously donated to during her lifetime.
