It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Janet Ploegman (nee Hadder) on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at the age of 65 years from cancer.
Janet is lovingly remembered by her husband Peter, married 46 years, her daughter Amanda, sister Gail Stasko, brother Del (Karen) and her brothers-in-law, Derek (Glenda) and Yardley (Cindy) and their families respectfully.
Janet will be fondly remembered for her love of life and all things in this world. Her 35 year career as a school bus driver for Winnipeg School Division was a great accomplishment for Janet, only to be cut short by cancer forcing her retirement. Janet's happiest times were walking her beloved pugs and slipping too many treats to all the other dogs on the block. Her beautiful home on Banning St. was her pride and joy with every square inch of yard covered in flowers, shrubs and trees that spilled onto the boulevard creating a jungle of green all summer long.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care for their compassion and comfort they provided for Janet this past month.
As per Janet's request, there will be no formal service and cremation has taken place.
