Joann Spencer, age 82, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose love and strength touched all who knew her.
Born on March 1, 1943, in Winnipeg, Joann was the daughter of Ella and Orral Cecil Gould. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Glenn Frederick Spencer, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage. Their enduring bond was an inspiration to family and friends alike. Joann was also predeceased by her beloved brothers, Kenny and Brian Gould.
Joann leaves to mourn her daughters, Jo-Ann (Gigi) and Regan; her son-in-law, Darryl; her brother, Jerry; her sisters, Donna and Margaret; and her cherished grandsons, Spencer and Cole. She will also be lovingly remembered by extended family and friends whose lives she has touched.
Though petite in stature, Joann possessed immense strength and passion for fashion. Her resilience in the face of adversity was a source of inspiration, and her life was devoted wholeheartedly to her family. Joann’s nurturing nature, unwavering support, and deep love will be forever remembered and held close in the hearts of those who loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
