It is with great love and sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie Bordush. His Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ called him home in the early morning of Saturday, Dec 20, 2025, at the age of 90, at his residence.
Leslie was born in Gypsumville, MB., Son of George and Nettie Bordush. He raised his family in Winnipeg, Calgary and finally in South Junction where he would later begin his retirement in the home that he built. He relished his country life, enjoying the outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening. He worked hard and was gifted in building with his hands. Leslie always had a positive outlook and was a very kind and loving person.
He leaves his Six children, Cindy (Chuck) Harper, Wayne (Wendy) Bordush, Barry (Brenda) Bordush, Corrie (Kelly) Beler, Leslie (Roderick) Burgar, Candace Bordush, brother Andy Bordush (Rose), 22 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Leslie was predeceased by his parents, Nettie and George Bordush, sisters, Katherine, Sophie, Minnie and Olga, brothers, Bill, George, Alex and Donald, nieces and nephews, and one Great-granddaughter, Isabelle Hope. Leslie’s large extended family and many friends who loved him and enjoyed his company throughout the years will deeply miss him.
Leslie lived his final days at the Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg. The family wishes to thank the staff there for the amazing care they gave him. They know he felt at home and are so very grateful.
There will be a private Celebration of Life service at a future date.
