It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Ruth who left us peacefully on January 2, 2026 just days short of her 98th birthday. Born in Winnipeg on January 13, 1928, the 6th child of 9 Carroll siblings.
Ruth was predeceased by Donald who passed just this past October. She is survived by daughter Susan (Jim), son Craig (Brenda), daughter Maureen (predeceased by Hubert) and six grandchildren: Scott (Christina), Ashley (Regan), Christopher (Erin), Heather (Jeremy), Jeffrey, Dean and great-grandson James. She is also predeceased by her siblings Joyce, Harriet, Jean, George, Inez, Robert and Marjorie and survived by her brother Gerry.
She will be remembered for her kindness, crafting and sewing skills – many of which she passed on to her children and grandchildren. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her.
We are grateful to the staff at the Charleswood Care Center for the excellent care they provided over these last few months. There will be no service at this time - in lieu of a formal memorial service, Ruth’s wish was for each of us to remember and celebrate her life in their own private way.
