CLINTON TODD BIALAS

February 12, 1975 – December 11, 2025

With deep love and sadness, the family of Clinton Bialas announces his peaceful passing at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on December 11, 2025, with his wife Doriann at his side.

Clinton was born in Thompson, MB on February 12, 1975, to Leonard and Shirley Bialas. When he was 6, the family moved to Onanole, MB where he attended Onanole Elementary School. At Erickson Collegiate he excelled in track and field, hockey, volleyball, and soccer, and he trained in martial arts for several years. Like many Clear Lake youth, his employment journey began in early teenagehood at the local gas stations and restaurants.

Clinton then ventured to various locales in Canada. In Winnipeg, he studied Culinary Arts at Red River Community College. In BC, he lived in Kelowna and Vernon before settling in Kamloops, where he assisted in opening several new restaurants, then continued as restaurant manager for Boston Pizza and Moxies. Quebec City was next, where he attended Université Laval, studied French, and immersed himself in the city’s joie de vivre.

In 1999, he returned to Onanole for a light-hearted Clear Lake summer with old friends. There he reconnected with Doriann and their journey together began. An impromptu house fire destroying their belongings couldn’t dampen their spirits, and they set off to Alberta - first Calgary, with just an air mattress and a couple backpacks to their names; then Edmonton to further their education. Clint and Doriann built a life together with a home full of pets, and married in 2004. Clint began working at Stahl Peterbilt in 2001 and attended NAIT, becoming a journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician in 2005.

He and Doriann spent their free time camping in the mountain parks, hiking, biking, and skiing. In 2010, Clint began competitive racing in mountain and road biking, quickly moving up the Alberta Road Cup standings. His racing spanned the western provinces and California, and by 2013, he entered Category 1/2 Road Racing, the elite racing category in the discipline.

In 2018 he pivoted again, completing a Bachelor of Business Administration with honours. He also studied the WSET program and became a wine expert and enthusiast.

Clinton and Doriann moved to Coldstream, BC in 2019. Clinton became the General Manager of Marten Brewing Company in Vernon, and he was a member of the Vernon Tourism Commission. In 2024, he completed a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Australian Institute of Business.

Once in the mountains, Clint found great joy in the combined excitement and peacefulness of 4x4ing BC’s forestry roads. This hobby required great care and attention for Teeter (his ’22 Tacoma), then Hunter (his ’25 Tacoma), and the neighbors would see him tinkering in the driveway for hours with various aftermarket parts and accessories.

Clint was a loving husband, a caring and loyal friend, and a vibrant, spirited man. He was always ready for adventure, loved meeting new friends, and faced every adversity with optimism and determination. Even cancer couldn’t get him down, as he stuffed his chemotherapy bottle in Hunter’s cupholder and went exploring in the hills.

Clinton is survived by his loving wife, Doriann Bialas, parents Leonard and Shirley Bialas, sister Crystal Erickson (Craig), nieces and nephews and their families; Maria Cook (Mitch), Travis Erickson (Jessica), Kendra Erickson, Cole Erickson, many cousins and their families, and mother-in-law, Shirley Grudinski.

Celebrations of life will take place in Coldstream, BC (April 2026), and Onanole (June 2026), details to follow. Interment will be at Onanole Cemetery in June 2026.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Colorectal Cancer Canada (https://www.colorectalcancercanada.com). Special thanks to Dr. Mori, Drs. Hardy and Schreve, the entire oncology team at the Vernon Cancer Centre, and all our amazing friends and neighbors.
