March 22, 1928 - December 14, 2025

Jack Fergusson passed away on December 11, 2025, at Seven Oaks Hospital, followed by his beloved wife of seventy-three years, Pat Fergusson on December 14, 2025, at Riverview Hospital.

They are survived by their five children, John (Jack) Robert (Sherry Perkins), James (Jim) Gordon (Laura Boyd), Gary David (Carol Salter), Sandra Mary (the late Brian Fraser), and Patricia Anne (the late Mike Teschuk), and will be greatly missed by their beloved eleven grandsons, five granddaughters, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and one great-great- grandson.

Jack and Pat met at the Winnipeg Beach Dance Hall on a lovely Saturday’s summer evening, were married on May 3, 1952, and spent 73 loving years together. They raised their children in West Kildonan.

Jack spent his career working for the Manitoba Telephone System. After raising their children, Pat worked as an aide/secretary in the Seven Oaks School Division.

Jack was a dedicated and devoted Freemason. Initiated in 1952, he went on to serve as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Manitoba (1989-1990), Grand Secretary (1990-1994), Most Wise Sovereign of Bethesda Chapter Rose Croix 18 Degree (1980) and Honourary Inspector General 33 Degree (1982) of Scottish Rite, Provincial Grand Master (1998-2003) and Provincial Grand Secretary (2008-2016) of the Royal Order of Scotland, and a member of the Ritualistic Unit of the Khartoum Shrine.

Pat was active in her church and a longtime member of the choir. She was an expert knitter making christening and baby blankets and sweaters for all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Following her retirement in 1988, Pat spent over twenty years as a volunteer at the Middlechurch Home.

A combined memorial service for Jack and Pat will be held on Monday, January 26, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., at Charleswood United Church, 4820 Roblin Blvd. Masonic regalia is to be worn.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation and gratitude for the wonderful care and comfort provided to Pat by the Palliative Care Unit of Riverview Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your preferred charity in their names.
