It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mom, Marion Yaromy, on January 6, 2026, at The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, at the age of 97 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Yaromy in 2008.
Marion will be sadly missed, and lovingly remembered by her daughter Linda, son Doug (Manuel), as well as other family and friends.
Marion was born January 15, 1928, in Brandon, Manitoba, residing there until 1961, then moved to Winnipeg. Marion and Frank were wed in Brandon in 1955, welcoming the birth of their first child Linda in 1957. In 1962 Frank and Marion's family became complete with the birth of their second child Doug. Marion was an avid bingo player, wordsearch puzzle solver, loved to bake, loved nature, loved animals, and had a heart of gold. She loved traveling with Frank, family and friends.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg for taking such great, loving care of mom.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Marion to Prairie Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre (pwildlife.ca).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
