JOSEPH ARTHUR EDOUARD LARAMEE

December 1, 1930 – January 19, 2026

It is with sadness in our hearts that the family announces the passing of Joseph (Joe) Laramee at the age of 95.

Joe will be lovingly remembered and left to cherish his memory by his wife, Rose, his children, Luc (Kerry), Monique (Jonathan), his grandchildren, Colton, Cassie (Jeremie), Joshua, Rene, Rheal (Stephanie), Danielle (Jarrett), 6 great-grandchildren, his sister Terry and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joe was predeceased by his parents, Edmond and Louise, his brothers and sisters, Maurice, Paul, Laurie, Irene, Alice, Ella, Jean, Simone, Noella, Leo and Andy, and his son Marc.

Joe’s Career as a businessman started at a young age when he purchased a polaroid camera and could make a few extra dollars taking pictures of soldiers in Churchill. Soon after this, he began to explore the new technology of photocopiers. In 1957, he incorporated Contour Photocopy Products Ltd. and was a successful salesman and president. He took great pride in all of his accomplishments.

Joe and Rose were married in 1958 and there began a long enjoyable life with her and their three children. He shared with his daughter, Monique, a love for animals and eventually began a hobby farm at their beautiful five-acre residence in South Transcona. Joe raised miniature horses and was a hit with senior homes coming over for a visit.

Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Action Marguerite St. Boniface for their care and compassion during Joe’s time at the home.

A Celebration of life will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home, 1 Green Acres Lane, Navin, MB, on February 24, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow.

Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • To Aunt Rose, Luc, and Monique: My deepest condolences to you and your family. Laramee family get togethers are happy memories I have especially when Uncle Joe, Uncle Andy and Uncle Leo were together. They always had everyone laughing and were ever a source of entertainment, even for us kids. I am sure the three of them are continuing their antics in heaven now.
