It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Pat Dalman at the age of 78 on February 23, 2026, at the Gimli Community Health Centre after a brief illness.
Pat was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Win Henderson, her brother John (Jan), her husband of 36 years, Norm Dalman.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kirsten (Steven) and Tannys (Sergio), and her beloved grandchildren, Willow (Clayton), Soren and Asra and her partner Don Hayden.
Pat was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and attended St. James Collegiate. After obtaining her teaching degree at the University of Manitoba, she started her career in education in Arborg and then Gimli, teaching for 35 years. Many who were taught by her will remember her kind heart and encouragement. She loved running into her former students to chat and see where their lives had taken them.
Mom had a lifelong love of literature, bookshelves lined the walls of her home, she was always finding inspiration in the written word and was passionate about sharing that with her students.
Mom was the heart of every family gathering, a warm friend, and a steady, compassionate presence. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, unwavering generosity and love she poured into everything she did.
Family and friends are invited to join us for a Celebration of Life to be held Thursday, March 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson Hall in the Gimli Waterfront Centre.
