Born November 30, 1942, in Ste Agathe (MB), Odette was predeceased by her parents, Louis Brémaud and Angéline Lapalisse. She will be dearly missed by her devoted spouse, Richard; her daughters, Sherisse Power-Evashenko (Brent Evashenko) and Natalie Power (Yvan Fontaine); her grandchildren, Maxim, Mia and Mélanie Evashenko; her sisters, Carmen LaRoche (feu Pierre), Raymonde Brémaud (feu Gabriel Roy); her sisters-in-law, feu Rita King (feu Elmer), feu Eileen Hénault (feu Léo), feu Mona Bouchard (feu Ernie); as well as her brother-in-law, feu Eddie Power (Shirley). She also leaves behind many nephews and nieces as well as many friends.
Odette received her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma in 1963. She married Richard Power of Somerset (MB) in 1964. Odette started her career in the Probate Office of the Court of Queen’s Bench in 1965 and retired in March of 2008.
Odette enjoyed many activities such as sewing, playing her piano and singing. She was recognized with the Marius-Benoist award for her singing with the Chorale des Intrépides choir and received a certificate of achievement for her years of work within the Saint-Martyrs-Canadiens Parish choir. Odette was always open to a card game, Scrabble, talking on the phone or sharing in a cup of tea in the evening.
A funeral mass will be held March 7, 2026, at the Saint-Martyrs-Canadiens Parish, located at 289 Dussault Avenue, Winnipeg.
