LEONARD KASIDY TALAGA

November 27, 1943 - March 6, 2026

It is with profound sadness our family announces the passing of our brother, Leonard on Friday, March 6, after a lengthy illness, at the Percy E. Moore Hospital.

Leonard was born and raised on the family farm in the Broad Valley area. He enjoyed working on the farm and was very good with the animals. Leonard also enjoyed working at the Inwood stock yards herding cattle for sale. On many Saturdays, you could find him at neighbouring farmer's auction sales buying items for his farm as well as for relatives who he felt might need a particular tool. It was always interesting to see what he had brought home for a family member or for resale.

Leonard is survived by his sisters, Tillie Malenchak, Margaret Swar, his brother John (Gladys), and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Annie Talaga, his brothers-in-law, Eddie and Bill, his family friend Joe Polney, his nephew Glenn Swar and many cherished aunts, uncles and cousins.

A special thanks to Margie, Jessie Swar and Larry Korotash for their compassion and service in getting Leonard to his doctor's appointments. Also, special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Percy E. Moore Hospital for their countless hours of compassion and assistance to Leonard and our family.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Fisher Fire Department Box 280 Fisher Branch, MB R0C 0Z0, in memory of Leonard, would be appreciated.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14 at 1:00 pm. at the Broad Valley Hall in Broad Valley, MB with Father Vijay officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.

Rest in Peace dear brother.
