It is with love and sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Hope Chapman (née Cruickshank), known to her friends as Hope, who passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the age of 95.
Born on March 13, 1931, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Hope lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, and deep devotion to her family and friends. She was a warm and giving person, loved by many, and remembered for the care and joy she brought to those around her.
Hope was an expert quilter, a talented cook and baker, and had a deep appreciation for classical music. She took great pleasure in creating a welcoming home, where she and Ray hosted cherished annual Canada Day and Christmas gatherings for their friends. She also shared a special bond with her dogs over the years, especially Sandy and Tammy.
Above all, Hope loved spending time with her family, particularly her three sons, Craig (Corinne Bonne), Bradley and Michael, whom she raised with dedication and love.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Frederick Chapman, and her sister, Patricia Britney.
A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue.
Hope will be deeply missed by her sons, family and friends and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
