Jack passed away peacefully at Boundary Trails Health Centre from complications due to diabetes.
Jack is survived by his wife Georgina Carol Schaefer (57 years) as well as three children. Chad Schaefer (Marnie); Zoe and Jaedon. Yael Fehr (Peter); Ezekiel, Raanen, and Katriel. Jedwin Schaefer; Yanara, Bailey, and Alley. Jack also has four great-grandchildren.
Jack leaves to mourn his only sister Marie Rowan (Gerald and Christelle); as well cousins, friends, aunts, and uncles.
Jack was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Emily Schaefer. Parents-in-law George and Elva Higgs. Two brothers-in-law, Richard Gauthier and George Rowan.
Jack worked in the accounting field his whole working life. Jack enjoyed reading, old movies, history, and some sports as well as dancing.
Thanks to Dr. K. Earl, Dr. C. Woelk, and Dr. J. Yang, as well as all the staff that took care of Jack.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral service. Interment will take place at a later date. Swan Valley Funeral Services are in charge of the interment.
