It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gilles Gueret on March 26, 2026, at the age of 69.
Gilles is survived by his loving wife Diane, his daughter Corinne (Brent), his son Ronan (Taylor), and his grandchildren, Lucas, Zachary, Mason, Finley, Harper, and Beckham. He also leaves behind his siblings, Anne (Claude), Jocelyne, Mona (Raymond), Alice (Denis), Martin (Darci), and Patrick; his in-laws, Pierre (Kathy), Agnès, Guy (Shannon), and Denis (Ellen); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Gilles was well respected throughout his career with Motor Coach Industries. In retirement, he found great enjoyment spending time alongside Diane at Creekside RV Park, where he made new friends and built strong relationships.
He was a man who valued his independence and often kept to himself, but those who knew him understood his quiet strength and generous nature. He was always willing to lend a helping hand when asked, never seeking recognition, simply doing what needed to be done. Though an introvert at heart, Gilles had a larger-than-life personality once you got to know him. He had a sharp wit and a love for humour, never missing an opportunity to share one of his famously corny jokes. Nothing brought him more joy than making his grandchildren laugh, and those moments will be remembered and cherished forever.
He will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his heart and spirit will always be remembered.
Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
