It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Christine, on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the Health Sciences Centre, with her family by her side.
Chris was predeceased by her parents, Tadeusz and Maria Slowik.
Memories of her will be cherished by her loving husband of 53 years, Sam; her sisters Helen (Alex) and Jeannette (Len); her brother Ted (Candice) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by other relatives in Poland and Canada.
Chris was meticulous in everything she did and her attention to detail made her well
suited to the more than 30 years she spent at Champs Food Systems as office manager.
We thank God for the many wonderful years we had with Chris. We will always remember her warm hospitality and generosity.
Chris was a devoted member of Holy Ghost Parish. Her faith guided all aspects of her life.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 9 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue, preceded by rosary prayers beginning at 10:00 a.m.. Interment will follow in the Holy Ghost Parish Cemetery, 4387 Main Street.
