LORETTA STUART
Loretta Stuart (Buhr) passed away peacefully on March 28 surrounded by her loving family.
Loretta was born in Edenburg, Manitoba where she spent her early childhood before moving to Morden as a young teenager. She eventually made her home in Winnipeg, where she met the love of her life, her late husband, Ian while working at Manitoba Telephone System. Together, they built a life with their three daughters: Sandra, Kim and Kelly.
She found joy in everyday life whether it was just enjoying family time, watching sports, tending to her flowers in her beautiful backyard or spending summers at Falcon Lake. She was very active and enjoyed going to many of Manitoba's local festivities. She loved and did an abundance of travelling across the world by car, bus, train, plane or by cruise ship with some of her favourite destinations being Vegas, Hawaii, Florida, Australia, England, Fiji and the Caribbean.
She leaves behind her brother James (Joyce),sister Lillian, daughters Sandra, Kim (Ron), Kelly (Brent), grandchildren Alyssa (Peter), Taryn (Josh), Brett (Alysha), Taylor (Vince) and great-grandchildren Gavin and Jayce as well as numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
She will be lovingly remembered for her positivity, strength, independence, the love for family and the zest for life in which she lived and breathed. We could not have asked for a better mom, gramma or GG and we will all have a void in our hearts now.
As per her wishes, a private family service was already held on March 31 at Korban Funeral Chapel with Fr. Darren Kawiuk officiating. Cremation and internment will follow at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
