SINCLAIR SR.
Surrounded by family, Allan, our beloved dad, papa and brother, long time resident of Brokenhead Ojibway Nation, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at the age of 74 years.
Allan is survived by his daughters, Bettie-Ann (Dennis), Dianna, son Chris (Randi) and his grandchildren: Maggie, Beth, Koby-Tray, Tyrell, great-grandchildren, Matilda and Luna; sisters: Gertie (Bill), Debbie (Mark), and Stella, brothers: Wendell, Manny (Marcella), Joe (Drew) and sister-in-law: Theresa Ryder plus numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Allan was predeceased by his sons, Brian and Buddy, parents, Marie (Johnston) Sinclair, Rod Genaille, father Stanley Sinclair and brothers, Glen and Gary, sisters, Phyllis and Roselyn.
Corporal Stan Sinclair did two tours of Peace-Keeping in Cyprus from 1969 to 1975 then retired with a Honourable Discharge.
The family would like to thank: Brokenhead Ojibway Nation, Gilbart Funeral Home in care of arrangements, Selkirk General Hospital, Transitional unit and Tudor House Care Home for his care.
Pallbearers will be Richard Sinclair Jr., Ogimaa Sinclair, Glen Sinclair, Roger Ballantyne, Mark Johnston, Daniel Black and Brent Thompson. A wake service will be held at the Private Tom Chief Memorial Centre on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. and funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. with Elder Bill Ballantyne officiating. Interment will follow at St. Philips Cemetery, Scanterbury, MB. A feast will follow the interment.
