Alex passed suddenly but peacefully, after a lifelong battle with physical and mental illness. Throughout his childhood, Alex experienced many challenges, which he faced with remarkable determination. Upon reaching adulthood, Alex lived with fierce independence, following his chosen path up until his death.
He is mourned by his mother, Donna Bush of Annapolis Royal NS; his sister, Samantha Huffam of Ottawa; and his father, Peter Huffam of Winnipeg.
A Memorial Gathering to honour Alex’s memory shall be held at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, Winnipeg on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
