It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and best friend, Rodger Hadden, on February 13, 2026. After a short battle with heart issues and AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia), he has left us.
We wish to thank the Health Sciences Centre General Hospital 5th floor, St. Boniface ACCU, A ward 5th floor, Asper Heart Centre, and the Palliative Care teams. He called you his team because you made him feel like a coach and less like a patient. Special thanks to the Resident Doctors and teaching staff of all departments for letting him participate in advanced learning (Guinea pig and practice person), and to his best friends, Crystal W. and Cristina W., for all your care while he was in care. We couldn't have managed as well without you. Also David G. and Catherine D., you helped keep us sane. Thank you to all who visited and called him regularly.
In lieu of flowers, he asked that you donate to your favourite animal shelter.
A service of remembrance, as well as fireworks, are planned for May long weekend.
