It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our Dad at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Dad was predeceased by our Mom, Maureen, in 2015 and by his parents, Hugh and Elizabeth Donnelly. He is survived by his children Lori and Craig (Tannis), granddaughters Hannah, Sarah and Erin, his brother Jim (Pauline), niece and nephew Andrea and Blair and many cousins in Scotland.
Born on an army base in Dumfries, Scotland during the Second World War, Dad emigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba with his parents and brother on November 28, 1951. He later moved to the White Rock area of British Columbia in 1994.
Dad spent his entire career in the computer industry, starting with writing code with Air Canada, moving on to sales with various companies and regional management and ending his career as a software consultant. In retirement, Dad was the President of the Semiahmoo Fish and Game Club, a volunteer position that he took great pride in and in which he devoted many hours of his time.
In accordance with Dad's wishes, cremation has quietly taken place. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a future date.
