It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lorne Alexander Beattie, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend, who passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, at the age of 92.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Annie Matilda and Walter Beattie, wife Pauline (Lupichuk) Beattie, and brothers, Shaun Beattie and Aubrey Beattie.
Lorne is survived by his daughters, Angela Beattie (Jon) and Cheryl Beattie. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces, Michael (Joanne), Scott (Denise), Callum (Catharine), Jo-Ann (Ken), Brian, Kimberley and Kelly.
A celebration of Lorne's life will be held on Monday June 29 at 2:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories as they honour a life well lived. The full obituary will be in Saturday’s paper.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Alzheimer Society or Holy Family Home in Lorne’s memory.
