Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCAROL JEAN HOLLAND
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Jean Holland, who passed away peacefully in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on June 29, 2026, at the age of 82.
Born in Kincardine, Ontario, on October 23, 1943, Carol lived a life defined by kindness, compassion, patience, and unwavering love for her family. She possessed a quiet grace that made everyone around her feel comfortable and cared for. Beautiful inside and out, Carol was thoughtful, considerate, gentle, and endlessly patient. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome, and her warm smile and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone she met. To know Carol was to love her, and she was loved deeply in return.
To her family, Carol was the one who "put out the stars at night." It was an expression that perfectly captured the comfort, warmth, and quiet magic she brought into the lives of those she loved. She was the calm in every storm, the first to offer encouragement, and the person everyone could count on. Her presence made life brighter, and her absence will be deeply felt.
Carol was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bruce Holland, and by her cherished daughter, Jennifer.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure her memory: her son Timothy; her daughter Heather; her stepchildren David and Sarah; her sisters Kim and Lynda; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her dearly.
Carol's greatest joy in life was her family. She celebrated their accomplishments, supported them through life's challenges, and never missed an opportunity to share her love and encouragement. Her kindness extended far beyond her family, touching neighbours, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. Her legacy is one of compassion, generosity, grace, and unconditional love.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the physicians, nurses, and staff of CancerCare Manitoba, as well as the dedicated Palliative Care Team, for the exceptional compassion, professionalism, and kindness they showed Carol throughout her journey. Their unwavering commitment to keeping her comfortable and preserving her dignity brought immeasurable comfort to both Carol and her family during a difficult time. Their care will never be forgotten.
Carol has been cremated, and the family will gather privately to celebrate her life and honour the many memories they shared with her.
Though our hearts are heavy with her passing, we take comfort in knowing that Carol's love, kindness, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on in the lives of those she touched. We will think of her whenever the stars fill the night sky, grateful for the love she gave so freely and the countless lives she made brighter. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in our hearts.
