Peacefully, after a long illness, Dennis Ernest Gresswell, aged 94, passed away at the Grace Hospital on July 11, 2026.
He is survived by his wife Annie (nee Unrau), his loving partner for 46 years; by three sons and their families. He was predeceased by one son.
Dennis immigrated to Canada in 1968 after working for the family business, Stan Gresswell and Son, spent two years in the RAF, as well as the prison service. Upon his arrival in Canada he worked in the campus police department at the University of Manitoba until his retirement in 1991, where he volunteered as the music librarian for CKVN radio.
A small service will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026 at Thompson in the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivary Blvd, with a reception to follow.
