ADELARD (JOSEPH) DAMASE AUGUSTIN PERREAULT A la suite dune maladie de courte duree est decede le 1er aout 1999 a lHopital general de Saint-Boniface, Adelard Perreault, age de 84 ans, epoux bien-aime dAntoinette (nee Dumaine). Le fils aine de Joseph Perreault et Justine Vandale, Adelard est ne le 15 juin 1915 a Richer. Apres la mort de sa mere, a lage de 11 ans il alla vivre chez son grand-pere Vandale. Le 18 novembre 1939, Adelard epousa Antoinette et ils setablirent a Saint-Boniface. Lunion produisit 12 enfants, et dura presque 60 ans. De 1943 a 1946, Papa fit service militaire; ensuite il poursuivit des carrieres variees afin de bien supporter la famille. Outre ses qualites de travaillant assidu, cest la generosite qui peint son caractere. Papa se portait benevole a organiser et a animer des parties de bingo durant dinnombrables heures dans plusieurs clubs a Saint Boniface et ailleurs. Joueur de cartes mordicus, il aimait regaler ses copains de blagues et dhistoires amusantes tirees de sa vie de travail. A leur retraite, Papa et Maman ont beaucoup joui de leurs voyages avec parents et amis. Papa etait fier de tous ses enfants, ses petits-enfants, ses arriere-petits-enfants, et de leurs succes. Lont precede dans la mort ses parents, son oncle Alphonse Vandale, ses soeurs Laure Normand et Aurore Vandale, ses beaux-freres Gerard, Gedeon (Jimmy) et Jean-Marie Dumaine, ses belles-soeurs Emma Girard et Victoria Duguay, et au mois de fevrier 1999, sa fille Rita Wenzoski. After a brief illness, on Sunday, August 1, 1999 at St. Boniface General Hospital, Adelard Perreault, beloved husband of Antoinette (Dumaine), passed away at the age of 84. Born June 15, 1915 in Richer, MB, to Joseph and Justine (Vandale) Perreault, Adelard grew up in Richer, where he was raised by his grandfather from the age of 11, when his mother passed away. Adelard and Antoinette were married November 18, 1939 in Richer. During nearly 60 years of marriage, Mom and Dad raised their family, primarily in St. Boniface. Dad served his country from 1943 to 1946, and took on many jobs over the years to support his family. He gave generously of his time and volunteered countless hours organizing and calling bingo at various clubs. He loved to play cards and entertain everyone with his many stories. After retirement, Mom and Dad enjoyed travelling with family and friends. Dad was very proud of all his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and of their accomplishments. He was predeceased by his parents; uncle Alphonse Vandale; his sisters, Laure Normand, Aurore Vandale; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerard, Gedeon (Jimmy) and Jean-Marie Dumaine, Emma Girard and Victoria Duguay, and in February 1999, his daughter Rita Wenzoski. Left to mourn his passing are his loving wife Antoinette, and children and grandchildren: Alice (Gerry) Sawyer, Audrey, Nancy, Cathy; Irene (Claude) Lansard, Suzanne, Pierre, Lise; Gerard (Sofi), Debbie, Paul, Helene; Denis (Cindy), Sean, Sherry, Sarah, Diane; Lionel (Cecile), Maurice, Mirielle, Jeanne, Julie; (Casey Wenzoski) Rene (Diane Sabourin), Joel, Christiane; Alain (Diane), Andree, Arthur; Roland, Alisa, Porsha; Rose-Marie (Neil) Buskell, Bill, Rick; Louise Beaudette, Janelle, Chaz; Claudette, Dale, Derek (Furutani) 25 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves his brother Theodore (Helen) of Mission, BC; and sisters-in-law, Marie-Anne Legal and Lucienne Dumaine. The family wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks to the many doctors, nurses and support staff at St. Boniface General Hospital for the care and attention they showed Dad. Should friends so desire, donations in the memory of Adelard Perreault may be made to the St. Boniface General Hospital. Prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 4 at Eglise Precieux Sang, 200 Kenny St. Viewing at 10:00 a.m. at Eglise Precieux Sang, followed by the Mass of the Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 5, LAbbe Marcel Chaput officiating. Interment to follow at St. Boniface Cemetery. LeClaire Brothers in care of arrangements, 775-2220.
