ALICE HAWKINS Mrs. Alice Hawkins, aged 63 years Pinawa, MB, dearly beloved wife of Dr. Ray Hawkins, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 1999 at the Pinawa Hospital. Alice was born and raised in Sundown, MB and for the past thirty years, lived in Pinawa, MB. She had a great love of nature and people, and had a genuine desire to do special things for people. Her caring nature was deeply felt by all who knew her. Alice devoted countless hours nurturing her grandchildren and her younger relatives. Alice always made time to pray with and for people and to thank God for the many blessings in her life. Alice is survived by her husband Dr. Ray Hawkins; their son Dr. Paul Hawkins and his wife Ruth (White) of Toronto, ON; their daughter Bronwen and her husband Dale Dobson of Pilot Mound, MB, and their children Carla, Leah, Cole, Jayden and Graham. Alice is also survived by her sister Jennie Michaels; brother Harold and wife Marlene Stadnyk of Winnipeg and brother Tony and wife Pat Stadnyk of Victoria, BC; and brothers-in-law, Patrick Seschuk of Winnipeg, and Dr. Allan Hawkins of Swansea, in the United Kingdom. Alice had many nieces and nephews, the welfare of whom she was deeply concerned. She was predeceased by her son Llewellyn; her sister Victoria and parents, Michael and Annie Stadnyk of Sundown. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 1 at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue East, Beausejour at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dr. Don Reimer and his wife Darlene Beeskau-Reimer officiating. Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to Pinawa Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Box 220, Pinawa, MB, R0E 1L0.
