JOYCE DOREEN RICE It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our mother and grandmother on Saturday, September 25, 1999 at the cottage in Petersfield. Mrs. Rice will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Shirley Lazaruk (Maurice) and their children, Darren and Gary; Sharon Cameron and her son Scott; her son Ed (Ginny) and his step-daughter Connie. She will also be fondly remembered by her sister Bea Rice; brother and sister-in-law Frank and Pat Schram and their families. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Ed; her brother Bill; one son-in-law Jim Cameron and by Ginnys son Clinton Craigie. Joyce joined the Transcona Legion Ladies Auxiliary in 1969 and was a very active volunteer over the next 30 years. She truly enjoyed the fun and loving friendships made during her volunteer years. A private funeral service followed by cremation will be held at Green Acres Funeral Chapel. Friends that wish to pay their respects are welcome to join the family at a reception upstairs in the Transcona Legion (Regent Avenue East) on Wednesday, September 29 between 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. A DEDICATED, LOVING, MOTHER AND GRAMMA TO MANY.
