VIOLET HESTER WINNEFRED SYDNEY (nee SANDISON) 1931 - 1999 After a brief illness Violet went peacefully to the arms of her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, October 13, 1999. She was predeceased by her beloved husband John in September of 1977. She will be sadly missed by her five children, son Richard (Joyce) and their children, Audrey, David and Stephanie; sons, Craig and John; daughter Susan (Kevin and their children, Brendan, Ashley, Cortney and Joshua; and daughter Kathy. She is also survived by her sisters, Shirley and Pat (Chris) and family, brothers, Walter (Buddy) and Sidney (Laurie) as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Violet lived in the Winnipeg Beach Community and was a longtime member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Winnipeg Beach United Church. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 18 at 2:00 p.m. in the Winnipeg Beach United Church with Rev. Lynn Stevens officiating. Interment of ashes to follow in the Winnipeg Beach Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations can be made in Violets memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
