She spent her younger years in Camp Morton and still has many friends there. in 1964 she moved to Winnipeg to be with her daughters. She has lived for many years with Emil and Margaret and helped to raise Kristjan and Candace. I am standing on the seashore, a ship spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the ocean. She is an object of beauty and I stand watching her until at last she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says she is gone. Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all. The loss of sight is in me, not in her and just at the moment someone says she is gone, there are others who are waiting and watching for her coming. Other faces take up the vigil and say; She is here. SO DEAR TO MY HEART Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 23 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gimli Lutheran Church with Pastor George Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Gimli Cemetery. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli in care of arrangements.
