HELEN RUTH SYMONDS Passed away peacefully December 16, 1999 age 93, at the Victoria Hospital. Helen was born in Michigan and moved to Manitoba as a child. During the war she trained and served as an instrument Technician at No. 5 Air Observers School of the Commonwealth Air Training Plan. She was a longtime employee of Eatons, after retiring in 1971 she enjoyed her family and followed sports, and was an avid knitter for the Christmas Cheer Board. She will be lovingly remembered by her Daughter Joyce Pearson and Grandchildren Joann, Richard (Debbie) and Russ; Great-grandchildren Joy (Jeff), Krista (Lyle), Victoria (Dwayne), James, Jennifer, Kevin, Alyssa and Justin; Great-great-grandchildren Wesley, Robin, Tristin, Stephanie, Nikolas, Colby, Kyle, Tabitha and Deryk. She was predeceased by her Brothers Willard and Edward, son-in-law Wes and Granddaughter Susan. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held.
