Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH (BETTY) TAIT (nee JONES) Peacefully, on Monday, February 28, 2000, Betty Tait passed away at the Seven Oaks General Hospital at the age of 86 years. She is survived by her husband, Bill; sons, Bill (Simone) of Vancouver, Bob (Barb) of Calgary, and Tom of Churchill; daughters, Betty (Dennis) of Calgary, and Sherri (Brian) of Sydney, Australia. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Betty was born in Winnipeg and raised in Morse Place. She was the past-president of the Manitoba Highland Dancers Association in the early 1950s. She spent the summers of the 1960s and 70s with Dad, running the bakery at Grand Beach until their retirement in 1975. In recent years, she enjoyed her time spent with friends at the Elmwood Seniors Club. Cremation has taken place. A private memorial service for Betty will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of River East Personal Care Home and Seven Oaks General Hospital, 5 Unit 1, for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make a donation in Bettys memory to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3B 2H8.
