WILLIAM TASHEKOWSKY It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather on Friday, March 31, 2000 at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora, Ontario. Bill was born on January 22, 1904 in Libau, Manitoba. He was the first born of Anton and Eva Tashekowsky who had eight children. During his younger years he worked very hard on his parents homestead. He started work at the CPR Weston Shops in 1929 and retired with them in 1969. He was predeceased by his wife Eva in 1994; brothers, John, Mike, Joe and Henry. Bill will be deeply missed by his daughter Jerry (Bertha) son-in-law Walter Mychalyshyn; granddaughter Dawn (Chris) Leroux; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Kristen and Bradley; grandson Dale (Laura) Mychalyshyn; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Courtney and Cody; sisters, Rose Gibson and Kay Gibson; brother Peter; nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday (Tonight), April 4, between 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 5, at 10:00 a.m. also at Cropo Chapel with Rev. Fr. Isidore Dziadyk, OSBM officiating. Interment will follow Elmwood Cemetery.
