SUSAN ANN ROSKEVICH (YARMICK)
Born: Dec 12, 1962
Date of Passing: Jun 25, 2000
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySUSAN ANN ROSKEVICH (YARMICK) DEC. 12, 1962 - JUNE 26, 2000 Susan, age 37, peacefully left our embrace on the morning of June 26, 2000, at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her mother, Olga, in 1988, and her father Bill, in 1993. This extraordinary woman leaves behind to mourn her husband Trent and her son Liam. Cousin Madeline, her daughter Nancy (John), Aunties Minnie, Olga, and Elsie. Also brother-in-law Craig (Andrea), sisters-in-law Bonnie (Jack, daughter Jaclyn), Cindy (Marc, children Jill and Matthew), Cathy (predeceased), (Gary, sons Cody and Luke), Brenda, along with many more relatives both near and distant. Also surviving dear friend Charles Michael, co-workers at Canadian Tire, and H&R Block, and many others far too numerous to detail here. This list is far from complete, but made in the hope that any omissions would be forgiven. Suffice to say that she knew you all loved her, and she loved all of you in return. It is rare that such a time and such a place could produce such a precious jewel, but indeed she was that and much more, and given to us for this time and place to brighten all of our lives. Susan would want everyone to know that even though most people don't get everything they want in life, she felt that her own was much richer than most, particularly in the time she shared with her son Liam-surely her proudest accomplishment. She would want to acknowledge that since first being diagnosed with breast cancer in January, 1998, she received wonderful care at the hands of the staff of, first, St. Boniface Hospital, then later, the Health Sciences Centre, as well as her own doctor Manya Sadowski. Particular mention must be made of her councillor Jill Taylor-Brown and all the wonderful people in her support group. While she was usually eloquent in expressing her feelings, the love and hope these people gave to her was much more than she could acknowledge with words. Thank you also to Sadok Veselka Daycare for the affection and care they extended to her and her family, and may they continue to do so. Cremation has already taken place. A memorial service for Susan will be held Thursday, July 6 at 9:30 a.m., at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, 255 Stafford Street, with Father Peter Monty officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Susan will be laid to rest in the Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue. For as much as she loved flowers, in lieu of such she would ask that all to whom she meant so much would consider donations to The Canadian Cancer Society, or any branch thereof. She would ask this because on the road she was made to travel, she saw far too many terrified people-many of whom had no one next to them. Until we meet again Sweetheart, please know that we have always loved you, and will love you forever. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM
