MARY (TRAEGER) SYZEK September 5, 1909 - July 5, 2000 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Mary Anne Syzek in her 90th year at the Grace General Hospital in the early hours of the morning, July 5, 2000. Mary was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Edward, on May 10, 1993. She will be lovingly missed by her daughter Joyce; son-in-law Gary Miller; granddaughter Tamara Duvell and her fiance Jason Pelland. Mary was a special woman who touched the lives of every person she met. Her radiant outgoing personality created many friends over the years. She will be remembered for her warm smile, engaging personality and a wonderful sense of humour. Her thoughtful and generous nature was always evident and her family was first and foremost in her thoughts. Shortly after Dad passed away Moms health began to fail. There were many hospitalizations and in the past five years she was physically limited in what she could do. She enjoyed the outdoors and spent many hours in the summer on the patio with her pets. She loved her animals and they loved her. Her cats and huskies were always by her side. It was not unusual to see all of them sitting together with Mom singing her favourite songs to them. When Moms illness reached the point where she could no longer be cared for at home she became a resident of the Calvary Place Personal Care Home. We wish to thank all of you; Dr. D. Hartley for his compassionate care of Mom, the nurses of 3 North at the Grace, especially Wendy and Chris. The staff of Calvary Place with a special thank you to Elsa, Josie, Marilyn and Lisa for their tender loving care the past five months and Marilyn Wedlake for her prayers and support. Dr. Kimberly Minish, thank you for your care, kindness and support and for always being there. An immediate cremation has taken place and a private service was held with Msgr. N. Chartrand officiating. Love knows no limit to its endurance, no end to its trust, no fading of its hope; it can outlast anything. It is the one thing that stands when all else has fallen We will carry you in our hearts forever. WOJCIKS FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
