RUTH FIEGUTH On July 20 Ruth Fieguth died peacefully at Bethania Personal Care Home. Born in 1912 in West Prussia (now Poland), Ruth immigrated to Canada in 1953 after having survived the difficult war and post-war years as a widow with three small children in Poland and East Germany. She is survived by daughter Irmgard Penner of St. Catharines, ON; son Werner (Margot) of Mississauga; grandson Paul (Betty) of Waterloo, ON; and granddaughters, Anita (David) of Bangladesh and Barbara Penner of London, England. Also, nephew Hans Reinhard Entz (Elfriede) and their family; sister Christel Pommer, as well as other relatives in Germany. She leaves many friends at First Mennonite Church, where she was a longtime member, and at Bethania where she has resided since 1994. A special thanks to Dr. E. Doermer and to the staff at Bethania for their compassionate care. Funeral Service will be held at First Mennonite Church, 922 Notre Dame Ave. on Monday, July 24 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome memorial donations for Bethania Personal Care Home, 1045 Concordia Ave., Winnipeg, R2K 3S7 or Mennonite Central Committee, 134 Plaza Dr., Winnipeg, R3T 5K9.
