ANDRE TALBOT After a courageous six year struggle with cancer, Mr. Andre Talbot past away peacefully at his home in Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba, on Sunday, October 8, 2000, at the age of 71 years. During his life he layed to rest his father Napoleon in 1971; mother Clarisse in 1988; first wife Therese in 1997; a daughter Yvonne in 1979; and a brother Marcel in 1978. His life and memories will be cherished by his second wife Anna (nee Cenerini) 4 daughters, Jeanne (Stan) Kostesky of Logan Lake, B.C., Alice (Gerry) Thorimbert of Winnipeg, Rev. Edith (Rev. Frances) Armstrong of Kingston, Ont., and Roxanne (Rob) Kurnyek of Winnipeg; 3 sons, Clement (Elise) of Logan Lake, B.C., Roger (Bev Litster) of Elkford, B.C., and Maurice (Peggy) of Brandon; 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Also 4 sisters, Adrienne (Albin) Lebeau, Monique (Tony) Ahle, Agnes (Emile) Cenerini, Suzanne (Rod) Boudreau; 6 brothers, Leopold (Rita), Gerard (Louise), Robert, Claude (Marilyn), Denis (Denise), Aurele (Linda) 2 sisters-in-law, Marie (Roger) Durand, Denise (Pierre) Badiou, and Gail Cenerini Langley, BC. Also cherishing him are 4 step-children, Guy (Christine) Durand of Atikokan, Ont., Lionel Durand of Winnipeg, Lyette (Russell) Obonsawin of Toronto, Andre (Allison) Durand of Atikokan, Ont., and 3 step-grandchildren, along with numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Andres life was filled with many memorable work experiences. He worked at mines in Ontario and Manitoba during the 50s and early 60s. He was even involved in the building of the island for Expo 67, as a dredge operator. His real love was working in his garage fixing transmissions. He had many family members and friends who regularly asked for his assistance, this included the repair of small engines, such as lawn mowers. This is very evident by the number of mowers by the side of his house. He was a 4th degree member with the Knights of Columbus and was a Town Councillor for 21 years. He loved fishing, hunting and outdoor life, which is reflected in the many trophies and plaques that he acquired. He loved going to the Narrows. He will be truly missed, but family and friends will never forget him. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Friday October 13, at 2 p.m. with Father Raymond Bremaud officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
